A standard bass clarinet stand is quite expensive, and some are quite heavy. So I bought a reasonably cheap Hercules guitar stand and converted it into a bass clarinet stand, and yet it can still be used as a guitar stand too, although without the neck grab-lock thingy.

The stand, as it, uhm, stands.

I attached a padded ring for the clarinet's floor peg, so that it won't accidentally jump off the stand.

I had to remove the neck grab-locking fingers as they would interfere with the keywork.

The ring was made from pipe fitting band, a hose clamp, and was padded with leather of an old wallet.
